Over 2300 distressed and upset children visiting
the Emergency Department at Cavaillon Hospital in
France will be given an adorable teddy bear for
them to keep - thanks to the efforts of IPSC members.
This grand initiative is intended to help relieve the distress of children visiting hospital emergency centers and is supported by the worldwide members of IPSC. The program fulfils a long-term goal of the IPSC President who has wanted to involve the confederation in a community charity project and particularly one that would benefit children. The initiative will provide direct and instant comfort to children at a difficult and distressing time.
Alexakos said, "It is a simple format. We hope the Cuddle Bears will help the dedicated medical staff at emergency centres to carry out their most important work and hopefully at the same time, in our small way, help to relieve the suffering of distressed children. We are enthusiastically looking forward to extending the program to other hospitals around the world and with the continued support of IPSC members we hope that this can carry on for many years to come".
